UCLA

Virtually visit UCLA, then share something you learned about UCLA or attending a university.  The more you explore, the more interesting the day will be. Blog about a major, a factoid, or dorm life! You can go to the virtual tour page where there are videos.

I already know I am looking forward to visiting the sculpture garden with the class. Last year everyone copied the pose of an abstract sculpture. This year........

Watching the virtual tour video.....there are soooo many outstanding experiences and opportunities available for students at UCLA.

Have fun.

  4. Wow!! There are so many classes that you can take that I never even thought or knew about being at UCLA. One thing I am looking forward to when we are at UCLA is the whole campus and the dorms- how big they are and what it's like living in one.

  8. So I just got off of thier website and I was just amazed by the hospitality that they have for thier students. I mean, they have different "restuarants" for different people and offer such nice dorms. I wonder how much preasure the students must have been under deciding which major to choose! There are so many!!!!!!

  12. That is so cool! There are so many classes to choose from, some very unique and different. A lot of them seemed really fun and interesting, not just boring "book study test" classes. Also, the dorm and living area seems so big and there are so many fun things to do in free time. This convinced me even more that UCLA is the best college ever and that I HAVE to go there. UCLA ROCKS!!!!!!!
    !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  13. It looks much more fantastic and/or beautiful than I thought. I know it's not a NORMAL collage, but I am still thrilled by all its beauty. Although the dorms and food seem very nice, (seriously!) I'm sure all of that can get pretty pricey... Anyway, I think differently about the majors. There are so many, too much unnecessary majors. But it is always good to be unique, and who knows, some doesn't-matter, out of the blue major may make one a billionaire! Overall, it was a good experience. Like Zack said, I would be looking forward to this upcoming study trip!

  16. I now feel ready for the UCLA Trip! I learned that there are A LOT of majors that you may pursue. I also learned that there is AMAZING food at the Bruin Cafe. If I were to go to UCLA I would definitely live in either a Residential Suite or a sorority. I would love to live in a Residential Suite because it is the nicest room to choose from that the college offers. Then if I was in a sorority I would feel like I had a family away from home. I am now very excited for the trip on Wednesday!

  17. Well, my computer's being a jerk and loading very slowly, but I've still picked up a few things. A place called "The Hill" is where the undergraduates live, and there are plenty of places to eat, with suspiciously delicious looking food. Also, the dorms are a bit bigger than I imagined. The way they were described in class, they sounded like a closet with a few beds. Instead, they're livable, and almost look cozy. On another topic, 5,000+ events are held on The Hill YEARLY.
    ...
Really, that's the only video that would load. But I am now curious as to what else goes on in this strange college. So.

  18. I learned a lot about college life and the cources that you can take! I really didn't think about how many classes there were until now. The food choices sound amazing, too.

  19. Wow, it seems very hands on and I cant believe all the choices you have to major and minor in. The Hill seemed to have a lot of options for both food and how/where to live. I also am really surprised by how many spots there are to relax and study at. I personally would like to just sit in the library but all of the outdoor spaces were very beautiful. There are so many sprts to choose from there were 30 options...I dont think I know that many! So overall, I cant wait to go and visit what I saw on the vidoes :)
