Today we learned how to calculate sales tax and tip. I gave you some opinions about tipping. But now it's time to talk with your REAL experts, your parent/grandparents. Ask them for a statement or a little story about sales tax OR tipping. Maybe you could share their tipping advice OR when they lived somewhere without sales tax. Maybe they waited tables and they have a statement to make about who were good or bad tippers.

I asked my parents how much they tipped restaurants, and their answer was 17%.

ReplyDeleteMy question was: How much do you normally pay for tips and from both of them I got the same answer from both of them: 15%! I told my mom about tipping 20%,but she said that it was to much.
ReplyDeleteThe question I asked my parents was: How much do you normally tip for good service? They said 17-20%. I also asked my dad if he had experienced woman paying exactly and men rounding at the resturant he used to own. He said definitley, not always but most of the time.
